2 simple collages of buildings, tourists, water and laundry.
Tourists everywhere you can barely walk.Hearing different languages every street and cameras everywhere.
Places where I got lost. Lines which represent not knowing where to go, ending up at the same places. Getting lost in Venice was something ill never forget. Discovering and exploring was such an adventure.
Strolling around the beautiful streets which were less touristic was peaceful, capturing the real essence of Venice.
Research in mediatheek, Bruce Nauman, Marcel duschamp and Hannah Hoch
After researching time, watching documentaries and brainstorming ideas on time, my partner (Shayan) and I were walking through the streets after school and realised that there were lots of gum on the street, as usual. We built on the idea that each gum we all see on the streets (anywhere) represents a particular time frame.
HOW LONG HAS THAT PIECE OF GUM BEEN THERE? EACH ONE IS DIFFERENT, different times are represented by each separate gum. Therefore, came the title for our reminding poster, TIME IS INDIVIDUAL.
Furthermore, each person takes a different time to do similar daily things, our daily routines are individual and so we took a simple action as chewing gum since we all take a different time to chew until we are satisfied.
